With a deep commitment to serving families during their most challenging times, Phillip Stephens co-founded Phillip Stephens Funerals in 1999 alongside his wife, Michelle.
As a Senior Funeral Director and Strategic Advisor, Phillip continues to lead and assist the company with his vast experience and dedication. His guidance ensures that we maintain the highest standards of care and support for every family we serve.
Michelle Stephens
Michelle Stephens, co-founder of Phillip Stephens Funerals, is integral to our commitment to compassionate care. As the Family Services Manager and Senior Funeral Director, Michelle provides dedicated support to families during and after their time of need.
Her role is crucial in ensuring that each family receives the personalised attention and care they deserve.
Rosie Hutchins
We are proud to introduce Rosie Hutchins as the new General Manager of Phillip Stephens Funerals. Under the mentorship and guidance of Phillip, Rosie is poised to lead our team with the same compassion and dedication that has been the hallmark of our services since our inception.
Our Journey
After many years in the funeral industry in Tasmania, Phillip and Michelle Stephens founded Phillip Stephens Funerals in 1999. Their vision was to provide families with personal and professional care during their greatest time of need. Located on Hobart’s Eastern Shore, with our funeral home, offices, and crematorium situated at Mornington, and the Chapel on Rosny Hill overlooking the scenic Kangaroo Bay Marina, we have grown significantly over the years.
